Apartments, retail to replace Oregon City eyesore

The shell of a Seventh Street building, long an Oregon City eyesore, will be replaced by a three-story commercial residential project, according to a land-use application submitted to the city last week.
Owner Peter Ng plans to build a 15-unit apartment building with ground-floor retail space. The project is unusual because in-fill apartment development is rare in Oregon City.
The building, which once housed Olson Drug, Ng’s pharmaceutical supply business, was vacated four years ago when the firm relocated to Oak Grove.
Renovation was put on hold when the building, 920 Seventh St., suffered water damage. The roofless structure has been boarded up. More from the Oregonian>
