C.E. John Co. is a company built on retail. It has long developed and managed shopping centers and storefronts across the metro area.
But with three apartment buildings in the works in Northwest Portland, the family-owned company based in Vancouver is making a move into residential real estate. It plans to deliver more than 150 apartments in 2013, an effort to bring more diversity to the company’s retail-heavy portfolio.
