Portland’s South Waterfront is starting to look a little like the mid-2000s, when construction cranes dominated the cityscape.
In the foreground, the Zidell family is building a 118-unit apartment building, the first piece of planned development on its 33 acres.
In back at left, workers last month topped out the 12-story Skourtes Tower at the Collaborative Life Sciences Building. The project is a partnership between Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon State University and Portland State University.
And in the background to the right, crews are working on the twin cable-stay towers of TriMet’s Portland-Milwaukie light-rail bridge.
